Green tea is my go-to drink. I drink a mug-full (which is usually around 3 cups, oops) every morning and then probably another one throughout the day... and maybe even another at night.
Because of this perfectly healthy obsession, I have a certain method to how I make a good cup of green tea. If you have tried green tea and didn't really like it, I suggest trying this because I really do not like green tea without everything I do to it.
I started drinking green tea because of all the benefits that it has; it really is great for you!
Benefits:
Boost metabolism
May help fight cancer
Relaxing
Antioxidants
Lower cholesterol
Prevents heart-related issues
Green tea is pretty much the cure-all in my book. Whenever I was sick growing up, my mom would make green tea and honey; it still wasn't my favorite, but it did wonders for sore throats. Although, the amount of sugar I use these days may counteract the metabolism part - I do notice though that my metabolism works a lot faster when I drink more green tea during the day!
So if you're wondering how I make my green tea, here is my recipe:

First you will need a large mug... a Taylor-sized mug. You will want one big enough for about two cups of water at least. If you're using a smaller mug, then you will want to use a little less of everything so it's not overly sweet.
I, personally, like certain green teas more than others. Bigelow is a good brand, and it is also organic which is nice! Tetley also has a good taste and comes with a lot of bags, which are the ones I have featured in the above photo.
- 3 tbs of sugar, sometimes more if I want it a but sweeter.
I tend to stop there at school, especially if I haven't been able to get to the store, but otherwise...
- 1/2 tbs of honey is also good.
- splash in some milk so it's a bit thicker, which is my perference. You can also use creamer instead. Vanilla almond milk creamer is a good, healthy choice.
- add the hot water and you have a great cup of green tea!

Thanks for reading,
Taylor. ♡

I’ve never tried putting milk in my green tea, is it really good? :)
ReplyDeleteI love it like that! It makes it a bit thicker and less watery. Sometimes having straight green tea is great, but if you're feeling a bit cozier, I highly suggest just a little milk.
ReplyDeleteI love green tea and honey. Especially a lot of honey. (I really like hot honey water haha which is literally just hot water and honey... SO GOOD!). I really want to start drinking more herbal, loose leaf tea, but it can get so expensive ): I adore this blog post though! Super cute!

I’ll definitely try 👌🏼
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I LOVE honey😍 and I want to try those too but I absolutely hate when the leaves get into the tea lol I cannot drink it if that happens, so loose leaf scares me💪
ReplyDeleteI love having green tea..I have never tried it with milk though nice post
ReplyDeleteThank you!!🌹
ReplyDeleteI LOVE green tea too! I drink it plain though with nothing added and I just love the taste. I have added honey before but I prefer it plain. I never thought of adding milk before. I may have to try it. And Bigelow is my favorite green tea as well :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried drinking it plain in so long! I'll have to try that again 🧡
