Back to school reads
Tuesday, August 28, 2018, by taylorisreadingAs part of my back to school series on my blog and channel, I thought I would give some back to school reading recommendations! Books to start you off to a great year. Starting school can be a lot no matter what grade you are going into, so some easy reads and some escapism is very desired. All of these books have a hint of the school scene, but focus on great adventures and unlikely relationships.
I am wishing you all the best of luck with your classes and I love to hear about your first few weeks of school! I am now a sophomore in college, so I miss the old school setting of elementary through high school (for the U.S.).
Without further ado, here are my back to school must reads:
Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan
An exciting story of teenagers and Greek mythology so you're learning, too!
Harry Potter by J.K.Rowling
A back-to-school must-read. Is it really that time of year again without some Harry Potter?
Twilight by Stephanie Meyer
With so many school scenes and teen drama, it's a great book to read while sitting in class and fantasizing that your school was much more interesting.
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
A perfect read for anyone going to or already in college.
Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
The opening scene give you all the high school feels.
The Novice by Taran Matharu
Boarding school vibes are my favorite in books. One of the best tropes.
Crowns of Croswald by D.E. Night
Another boarding school because I love the trope so much! So many whimsical classes to follow Ivy in.
Let me know down below what books you would recommend to kick off the school year!
Thanks for reading,
Taylor . x

Can you believe I've not re-read Harry Potter since first reading the series at 10 years? I just never re-read books for some reason so I might try to re-read that this autumn, I'll also steal my brothers
